I attempt to accurately represent and describe cut stones and rough
as to appearance, size, origin and fully disclose any known
treatments in its description. Because you view the images on a
different monitor with different settings, color is particularly fickle
to represent, but I do my best.

Note: This stone is a beautiful peach/pink color that shifts towards pink in

Nigerian tourmaline. Some people may call it brown, but it can go from
gold to bronze to pink depending on how you tilt it. It's really very nice.

Stone #: Gem 0046
Material: Tourmaline
Type: Rubellite - Pink/Peach
From: Nigeria
Design: Sea Foam Shore (designed by Jeff Graham)
Cut By: Dan Starr
Basic Shape: Rectangle
Size: 10.2 mm wide x 12.9 mm long x 8.5 mm deep
Clarity: VS2
Weight: 9.47 carats
Price: $3788.00 ($400/ct)
Treatments: None known
Note: This stone is a beautiful pink/peach in sunlight and slightly
towards peach in other light. This is not an unusual color for Nigerian
Tourmaline. This design minimizes the light coming from the a/b axis,
and results in the pink color at one end taking over almost the entire
stone. If tilted correctly, you can still see which end is devoid of
color centers. There is a group of bubbles and voids near one corner
of the stone which earns it the VS2 clarity rating, but overall it is a
very beautiful gem! The pictures above were shot in a combination of
sunlight and fluorescent light.

Size: 12.75 mm wide x 10.2 mm deep
Clarity: IF
Weight: 14.65 carats
Price: $13,917.50 ($950/ct)

Note: This stone is a beautiful electric blue/green. Depending on how
you tilt it, you can get more or less green mingling in with the blue.
It's a very nice effect. This is as good as blue/green ever gets, and
because of it's size and clarity it commands a top price.

Stone #: Gem 0053
Material: Tourmaline
Type: Bicolor
From: Nigeria
Design: Modified Gram Easy Emerald (designed by Jeff Graham)
Cut By: Dan Starr
Basic Shape: Rectangle

Clarity: I
Weight: 14.40 carats
Price: $1,440.00 ($100/ct)
Treatments: None known
Note: I had a real problem trying to grade this stone and come up
with a price! It is included with most of the inclusion actually being
tiny voids in or near the center stripe. The naked eye doesn't see most
of the smaller zoning that is so obvious in this picture. This is another
stone I'm tempted to keep, but the wife already has a nice bicolor, so
it's up for sale.
